This photo was taken in the Merritt Island wildlife preserve in Florida, where Cape Canaveral is located. This is an egret, I think, or maybe an Ibis. To be honest, I really don't know. He (I don't even really know if it's a he, now that you mention it) was walking around through the grass in the late afternoon.
